Tiny Barbarian DX: The Serpent Lord Review

a1693485418_2Introduction: Today for the release of the Tiny Barbarian DX: The Serpent Lord OST I’ll be doing a review. Jeff Ball is the action hero behind this OST. I can totally recall the Astroman soundtrack review I did,  and here is a link to the original Tiny Barbarian soundtrack. You pick it up for $4.99 and it’s totally not robin you. I was planning on having this review done on the 1st of June, but after the 6th day of waiting the OST got put up fully on bandcamp.

Retro Game Music Bundle

Though not really indie, or maybe indie but by today’s standards is the Retro Game Music Bundle. I figured I’d give it a mention as it is a large collection of music and has some indie game albums available in the upper tier.

You get the likes of Duke Nukem, Jazz Jackrabbit, 7th Guest, and Myst. There’s more classic game’s soundtracks among the bunch so check the list below. When you got names like virt and coda in the mix, how can you go wrong?

Knightmare Tower – Original Soundtrack Review

Introduction: Long time no see. I heard the Legendary Hyper Ducks had come out with a new album so I figured it was my duty to all things IGM to do a review of this OST. The soundtrack I am reviewing today belongs to a game with a reckless disregard for physics, Knightmare Tower. I’ve played through the whole game and it’s fun little distraction of a game with a good leveling up system. You can get the OST here for about a $1.50.

A little update for everyone.

Now, the site has been pretty quiet for a while now, and there are some reasons I wanted to go over with everyone at this time.

When I heard about about the Street Fighter X Megaman game that was coming out, that really stood out as a turning point for indie games to me. Here we have for all intents and purposes an indie game, done by an indie game musician that is sponsored by Capcom and is now a legit game in the series. So you basically have a corporate indie game. Yeah, pretty screwed up I’d say, dooms day must be coming up.

Diddy Kong Racing: Bootleg Circuit Review

Introduction: We got a remix album today. It’s Diddy Kong Racing: Bootleg Circuit by Benjamin Briggs. Now Diddy Kong Racing is one of my all time favourite racing games and one I hold dear to my heart. I played the living crap right out of this game. As an example, I beat every developer time with every available vehicle for every single level. Seeing a remix album, even though it’s only 5 tracks long, is a real treat. You can pick up Diddy Kong Racing: Bootleg Circuit at Benjamin Briggs Bandcamp page.

Tower of Heaven OST Review

I kind have got a better hold on my position at work and things aren’t as stupid crazy busy right now until my kid is born, then it’ll probably will be again. But until then, I’m gonna try and get some updates in. Also, trying out a new rating system, we’ll see how it holds up.

Indie Game Music Bundle 2

First, I’d like to apologize to the entire community for not keeping up with updates. With the training in my job and how much of a time sink it is, it just hasn’t left me with much time to go on the computer let alone write on this site. I also don’t know if it’ll get any better after I’m done training this Friday, but we’ll see. Chances are I won’t be able to post updates very often at all. What I’m gonna be looking for is someone who can write for the site and do updates to more or less replace me. If anyone is interested, please send me an e-mail. I’ll of course will still be providing the hosting.
